Do You Think the Tail Colors on Southwest’s Independence One Should be Switched?

Did a quick photoshop of Southwest’s new Independence One livery. The only difference between both photos is the red and white stripes on the tail. The top photo is the original aircraft and the bottom photo is where the colors are flipped. Even though they were likely going for red, white, and blue in the tail in that particular order, I feel like flipping the red and white is more cohesive with the rest of the fuselage. Personally, I prefer the version in the bottom image.

Thoughts?

Photoshopped Version of N1776R With Tail Colors Flipped

Last night, I requested someone to photoshop Southwest’s new Independence One to flip the red and white colors on the tail. I saw a lot of comments from people talking about how they didn’t like the tail and how the colors mirrored the flag of France 🇫🇷 and the Netherlands 🇳🇱. When I first saw this livery yesterday, I thought it was okay, but the tail bugged me. I love Southwest’s other special liveries, but I wish they would’ve kept the tail the same. IMO, the red and white should’ve been flipped since on all the other special liveries, the red is in the middle, not the top like on 1776. Also, if you base the tail off the fuselage, the color Oder is blue, red, white. The tail should follow that order. The blue on the tail ties in with the fuselage, but then the red and white are in the wrong order. I get that they were likely shooting for red, white, and blue in that order, but it just doesn’t work for me.

I also think the tail gives off Pepsi logo vibes. After looking at both the real and photoshopped versions side by side, I knew the tail looked better flipped. Really curious to see who else agrees here.

BTW, the first image is photoshopped and the second image is the real aircraft.
