Preserving Yoruba Philosophy: I built a digital library and study companion for the 256 Odus of Ifá (Available in 4 languages)

I wanted to share a passion project I’ve been working on with this community, hoping it can be a useful resource for students, practitioners, and those interested in the profound wisdom of African Traditional Religions, specifically the Yoruba tradition.
I’ve built a platform called Ifá Wisdom. It’s a digital library and study tool designed to make the philosophical and ethical teachings of the 256 Odus accessible and organized.
What the platform does:
- The 256 Odu Library: A structured database of the 16 Mejis and the 240 Omolu combinations, detailing their Essences, Ire (blessings/light), Osogbo (warnings/shadows), and traditional proverbs (Ese Ifá).
- Odu of the Day: A daily reflection tool calculated using the traditional 8-step method, meant for daily philosophical contemplation.
- Study Modules: Sections dedicated to understanding the Orishas, the concept of Orí (destiny), and the ethical framework of Ifá.
A note on respect and tradition: I want to be very clear that this tool uses AI to help categorize and explain the philosophical concepts, but it does not replace a Babalawo, Iyanifa, or traditional initiation. It is strictly an educational companion for self-reflection and study. The AI is strictly prompted to avoid "fortune-telling" or magic, and focuses purely on the beautiful, grounding philosophy of the Yoruba people.
The platform is completely free to explore and is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and German, as my goal is to help preserve and spread this ancestral knowledge globally.
