Ever seeing this rifle on the cover on Gunsmith Cats Master V issue 4, I wanted it. What got you into the AUG or firearm?

I’ve seen other posts about this issue. Really surprised by this issue though. Didn’t drop the weapon or anything. I’ve had the rifle 3ish years and unfortunately it’s only been out to the range about 5 times. Definitely less than a thousand rounds through it. For other folks who had this issue, did Steyr fix it under their warranty?

Just wanted to post a pic of my AUG after some recent changes, I’m loving it so far but still have to take it out to the range and zero everything.

don’t mind the bad quality picture but i bought a surplus AUG and the trigger looks sub bleached. I cleaned it off and while it’s wet it turns back to olive green but dries back up to the color in the picture.

I tired using a heat gun to restore the color but it didn’t do much.

I currently have an M1 with Eotech and magnifier and Magpul MBUS pro iron sights. I have a light mounted on the side rail.

Currently this set up holds everything I currently have/use, but with the M2 I’m wondering if it’s worth purchasing the extended M1 rail in case they are discontinued in the future and I want to add an IR Laser or something in the future, as I do not currently have enough rail space for that unless I mount it on the side and somehow offset the flash light on the top rail or something. Maybe this is a better way to go rather than getting the extended rail.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I just don’t want to look for this in a few years if I want it and they no longer exist.

I got tired of waiting for a Desert Tech to release a quad stack version of their WLVRN, so I made my own... and then brought it to Steyr Academy.

Bought a kit from max arms and kinda looked weird at first this bolt carrier is LH right?

just got my replacement stock after my other one cracked. seems the receiver can't go far enough in to allow the takedown buttons to push back into place...did I do something wrong with reassembly?

Update: Called Steyr, they recommended to send it back

For the record I hated it at first. But with the right accessories. It’s money.

I'm curious to where people settled in on their kns piston setting?

I am rocking a huxworks ventum and it seems to run well at low-10 with 55gr armscor.
