My first ATV, very satisfied with it.
Very comfortable suspension, 2x4 and 4x4 EFI
sportsman 700 efi twin, bought for 700 not running, new fuel pump got it running, ran good and pretty fast, but had to replace all suspension bushings, and destroyed cv axles in process so replaced those too.
About 400 in parts later and it was running good, but I hate it.
The ebs is way too drastic, the engine sounds like a bag of bolts on a good day, the handling is stiff, it feels like a yacht, the plastic racks are junk, the fuel efficiency is ridiculous, and it just feels fat. had the engine inspected and it's running normal, everything is in good shape, it's just this bad on a good day. only 1500 miles too
I'm used to 90s Hondas like the 300 and 250 utility, and Yamaha moto 4. never wanted to sell a quad so fast.
Hey everyone, I don’t know much about atvs but I’m picking this up for cheap and wanted a project. Any advice on where to begin? I have the funds to completely go through it, just don’t know where to start or what to look out for. Sellers not sure what model or year, neither do I.
Got this from a guy yesterday. Guy took it apart to change the rear axle bearings and destroyed the axle, sprocket, bearing housing, etc. with a grinder. I’ve seen everything for sale but bearing housing. Where can I find that? It’s chain driven. Located in knox tn
I've recently got a 2001 Suzuki kingquad 300 with hydraulic drum brakes on the front. I have replaced both brake pistons and bled the system but the lever isn't very stiff. I only get engagement when I pull the lever 60% of the way, then when I pull it all the way the wheels lock up.
Is this how it's supposed to be? I'm new to ATV's and would appreciate any insight
To give some context im 20 years old and looking to switch from my grizzly 700 to a race quad thats more nimble. I ride trails and the local track in town, so i need something capable of ripping it up in both conditions. Ive been riding dirtbikes, and quads since I was 10, and moved up to a gsxr 600 when I got my bike permit at 17. Anyways was wondering if yall had some input on the yfz, common issues, versatility, reliability, etc. I would be using it more for trail riding rather than track, but I would like something that can do both. Suggestions and feedback would be appreciated. Thanks yall
Hello All!
I have been single track dirtbiking for the past year and looking to add another machine to the lineup so I can take my wife out to explore some of the beautiful sights I see!
Wanting a factory 2-up model which limits me to Can-Am Max, Polaris Sportsman Touring, CF Moto Touring.
Hoping to spend under $10k CAD ($7k USD) It seems the only options are a 2010’s era sportsman 570 (which I am leaning towards) or a 2020’s CForce (are they reliable and repairable?) Can Am Max’s seem to have very limited used postings (been watching a while).
Any recommendations? Want to avoid buying the wrong machine for the terrain, there is a lot of conflicting information online. Hoping to join some group rides.
(No space for a side by side)
Like the title says, gonna sell my 2017 Outlander 650XT.
Question I have, is there anything buyers are looking for on these? This one has been used to drive up and down our driveway and otherwise on the property, but not really used like it was meant to be, hauling butt. The honda is a better fit for my use case.
I was riding the other day with no issues when all the sudden it started making a loud clicking noise in first gear and would hardly accelerate, if at all. I noticed the chain getting stuck/jumping when trying to accelerate. I rode in reverse all the way home no problem.
Could it just be an issue with the sprockets and chain or something deeper, like clutch or transmission? The clicking noise sounded like it could be internal and not just the chain jumping.
I got this ATV (Kawasaki Brute Force 300) from 2018 with only 600 miles on it, but its been neglected its whole life :(
I want to get this thing good as new but I have very little experience working with ATV's. I got running before Winter, but didn't get a chance to ride it throughout Winter so it has been sitting for another 4 months.
Before winter I changed all the fluids, took apart and cleaned the carburetor, new battery, air filter, spark plug.
Now I plan on cleaning the carb again because I was lazy and let it sit with the same gas all Winter, greasing all the suspension components, and doing this sea foam treatment I've heard of to clean out the engine.
Is there anything else I'm not thinking about or that you could think of for general maintenance? and also is there anything special or extra I should do because it's been sitting for so long?
I have a 2008 Polaris outlaw 450MXR practically new, 65 hours. It’s bone stock, rebuilt carb and wired in a brighter light. I’m looking to turn it into a tried and true race bike but I can’t find a stage 3 cam shaft that’ll fit. It is a KTM 448cc, similar if not the same as the 07-12 KTM 450SXF. Please help if you can! Other parts suggestions to make this a bad ass bike are welcome!
A video my brother and I made of us jumping the gun on an early spring ride here in Ontario…
Machines in the video are a 2022 850 outlander (blue) and a 2021 650 outlander (camo). Although we probably should have had snowmobiles…
Moving too Alaska soon. I want a sport four wheeler or snowmobile which is better and do y’all ride in big groups up there? Reposted because it was removed from the Alaska group.
