3BR near BGC and ASMPH/TMC

Hello! Do you have any recommendations for condos on the cheaper side around 30k/month at least semi-furnished that’s near BGC and TMC in Ortigas? Something similar to Urban Deca in Ortigas in terms of price range. Thank you!

Would you choose ASMPH again? Why or why not

Hi! I’ve recently been accepted to ASMPH and I’m seriously considering enrolling. I just wanted to get a better sense of what the experience is really like.

A bit about me: I’m interested in eventually taking the USMLE since my parents are based in the US, but I also want to make sure I become a strong clinician locally. I’m also someone who values time with family (they’re in the province), so having some flexibility during med school matters to me more than I expected.

Would really appreciate insights from current students or graduates on the following:

1) Clinical training
By clerkship/internship, do you feel confident handling patients? How would you describe your hands-on exposure?

2) USMLE path
For those aiming for USMLE, how realistic is it to prepare for or take Step 1 / Step 2 during med school? When do most people usually take it?

3) Schedule / flexibility (pre-clerkship years)
How packed is your week on a typical basis? Is there room to breathe, or even go home during long weekends?

4) Learning style
What does a normal day feel like under the organ-based system? Do you feel like it helps with long-term understanding and retention?

5) After graduation
Where do most graduates go for residency (locally or abroad)? For those who pursued USMLE, how manageable was the transition?

6) Looking back
If you had to choose again, would you still pick ASMPH? Or would you consider a different school? Why?

I’m very grateful to even have this opportunity, and I don’t take the decision lightly. Thank you so much in advance to anyone willing to share their experience!

asmph fin aid scholars stats

hi! trying to gauge my chances as a fin aid applicant. to other fin aid scholars here, may i ask what are your stats? what factors do they consider the most?

in the case i dont get one for yl5, is it hard to reapply for yl6?

for context, i am also a scholar in admu. 93 pr, active orgs, lower middle class (plus single parent), but no latin (tho i have pretty consistent above average grades). im worried lang cos in terms of academic stats, i know the competition is tough.

thanks a lot! any related insights are also highly appreciated. :)

ASMPH Scholarship / Confirmation Fees

Hello po.

I would like to ask whether accepted fin aid scholars for YL5 are still required to pay the confirmation & transition module fees or they are waived upon acceptance of the scholarship? Thank you.

reservation fee and transition module fee

hello! based on the email, does this mean we already need to pay the fees from May 5 to May 8? i’m a bit confused because some of my friends didn’t pay during the confirmation period, were they possibly granted financial aid or a scholarship?

Is the AES hard to maintain?

I recently got accepted to ASMPH but hindi kami mayaman so I am hoping to get into the Academic Excellence scholarship. If ever, is the acad excellence scholarship hard to maintain and are they generous when it comes to appeals kapag hindi mo namaintain yung grades? 🥹

Also can you apply to fin aid if you lose your acad excellence scholarship since fin aid has lower maintaining grade?

TY in advance, hope someone can answer
