Suppressor Deregulation

i’ve seen a lot of stuff on social media since the ATF‘s announced rule changes 4/29/26 claiming that the ATF is deregulating suppressors SBR’s and a whole bunch of other stuff. Yet when I looked through the ATF’s announcement, I didn’t see anything mentioning suppressor specifically. Did I miss something or did I fall for the click bait?

Need help

I got this bcg offline and don’t recognize the logo. Could use help figuring out the brand or manufacturer. The logo is faint on the side of the bcg but it’s a bolt face win an ar style rifle through it.

Picked up this black beauty.

Haven’t taken it to the range yet. Will do that today. Only complaint I have so far is that the brace leaves much to be desired. I might SBR it. Not sure yet. Super excited to shoot it!

I was wanting the Handbrake X by Emmisary Development, unfortunately they’re out of stock right now. Any other recommendations for handbrakes/foregrips? Also thinking about running a T2 on it.

Atrius FRS issue with AR9 build.

Looking for some help with my FRS. I have a psa 8inch 9mm upper on a Spike Glock mag lower, and have mil-spec trigger to go along with the Atrius FRS. For recoil I bought the Maxim Defense RDB system and wanted to make a it also compact by adding a Tactical law folder with the Anarchy Outdoors tactical folding bolt carrier extension. At first it seemed I had to watch how much pressure I was using to get it to work in the frt mode, but now it only functions in semi in both semi and frt mode. Any thoughts or ideas on what to do to get it working how I want it?

First AR, PSA or M&P Sport 3?

Hey guys, new to AR’s. Been looking for something around $5-800, but preferably on the lower end. I’m eyeing the PSA or M&P, but am open to suggestions. Just looking for a reliable entry level AR.

Insight regarding suppressor & buffer spring / weight

Not necessarily a specific question, more just info based off what I experienced shooting today and looking for your opinions / thoughts.

Basic Anderson AR. 16” barrel, all milspec parts or whatever generic parts Anderson used, nothing fancy. Brand new Recce 5 suppressor with their EZ brake installed and shot for the first time today.

I assumed that shooting suppressed, especially with a traditional style suppressor that has higher back pressure than a flow through, that I’d possibly have issues with feeding / cycling. But it shot absolutely just fine. Normal standard ejection pattern. No issues feeding or cycling, just absolutely fine.

I brought a strike industries flat wire carbine spring and H2 buffer weight as a backup in case I had issues. I bought them for an SBR I just built, assuming I’d need them over milspec stuff due to the suppressor.

I did test both setups and honestly I prefer the milspec spring and weight over the flat wire spring and heavier weight. Is that normal? Why does all my research say that I NEED to change my spring and weight when I tested it and had zero issues and honestly better feel and sound with the milspec stuff over the “better” or should I say “more appropriate” stuff?

Just looking for insight, thoughts, opinions, from anybody who actually took the time to read all this. Thanks all!!!

Help me value this upper

Alright, need some help from people who know more than I do on this.

From what I’ve been able to gather doing my own research, this might be a POF P416-9-P4SX piston-driven upper.

What I’ve been told is that this specific upper was basically a commercial “torture test” piece from the early 2000s. The guy I got it from said he was given two of them—one to blow up and one to keep. He ended up throwing this one in a safe and never really used it. I’ve been running it as a duty rifle for a while now.

Over time, I’ve had multiple people tell me it’s a pretty rare/unique system, but I can’t find much solid info on it. The only thing I’ve found was an old auction from around 2006 where one sold for about $2k.

So I’m trying to figure out:

What would you realistically value this at today?

Is this actually something rare, or just niche/obsolete?

Would you keep it or move it?

Only downside—I’ll be honest—is this thing is heavy as hell.

Appreciate any insight.

Thanks!
