We've gotten a few messages lately that mix up two completely separate systems on AICHIKI, so I want to clear this up properly. Both of them can affect how chats feel, but they work in totally different ways and exist for completely different reasons.
Daily Allowance — this is about keeping AICHIKI alive
Every tier (Free, Plus, Premium) comes with a generous daily allowance of higher-tier model usage. When you've used it up for the day, you don't get cut off. You don't get shorter messages. You don't lose access to character creation, memory, images, or any feature. You simply step down to a lighter model for the rest of the day, and it resets at midnight.
A few things worth knowing:
The allowance is calibrated so that most users never hit it. To actually run through it, you'd need to chat for many hours in a single day.
Even when you do hit it and step down, the lighter model still gives you full-length replies and full feature access. Nothing about how you use AICHIKI changes, only which model generates the answer.
We've made the allowance deliberately generous. A lot of users across Free, Plus, and Premium actually use close to double of what they pay for. AICHIKI is bootstrapped, and the daily allowance is the thing that makes the math work so we can keep the lights on without ads, without selling data, and without cutting features for free users.
We get that for paying users especially, the idea of any daily limit can feel weird the first time you notice it. We're not hiding it, it's there because it's the honest answer to "how do you keep this running?" And it's been carefully balanced so the vast majority of you never even notice it exists.
Account Standing (Limited tier) — this is about safety, and it's a separate system entirely
If your account is in Limited status, that has nothing to do with your daily allowance. Limited is a safety status, and it's the result of documented rule violations on the account. While in Limited, replies are shorter, some features are restricted, and that applies regardless of whether you're Free, Plus, or Premium.
Account standing drops because of violations like:
🔷 Sexual or romantic content involving minors
🔷 Incestuous content between blood relatives
🔷 Non-consensual sexual content
🔷 Extreme or gratuitous violence
🔷 Jailbreak attempts (instructions to ignore the rules, hidden meta-prompts, "you are now a different AI," and similar workarounds)
Account standing recovers on its own over time when the account is used within the rules. No form, no waiting list, no appeal process, just chat within ToS and your standing rises automatically.
The short version
Daily allowance is about capacity. It affects which model answers you when you've chatted a lot. It doesn't restrict anything else.
Account standing is about safety. It affects message length and features when rules have been broken. It recovers naturally when violations stop.
The two are not connected. Hitting your daily allowance will never drop your account standing, and being in Limited tier isn't because you "used too much."
