Bad luck, scored 490 with GPA 3.9

I just got a 490 on my ADAT, and honestly I’m devastated because I know I could’ve done much better. My GPA is 3.9, I passed the INBDE on my first attempt, and I prepared really hard for the ADAT. The problem was that I completely panicked during the exam, ran out of time, and couldn’t control my stress.

I booked my retake for the end of August . but the application deadline for some schools is July 2, and my retake score probably won’t be available until August.

Do you think it’s still worth applying now with my current score and then updating schools with a new score later? Has anyone been in a similar situation before?

Also, with a 490 ADAT, do I realistically still have a chance at some universities, or would applying this cycle just be wasting money? I’d really appreciate honest advice from anyone who’s gone through this process.

What I Experienced as a Dentabest Student”-Success speaks louder than negativity!

I normally stay away from online arguments, but as someone who personally took Dentabest Dr Sehar’s classes and successfully cleared all 3 exams INBDE,ADAT(640),AFK.I felt it was important to share my experience.

Her guidance, mentorship, motivation, and exam-oriented approach genuinely helped me during one of the most stressful phases of my career. No coaching can magically guarantee results without effort from the student, but having the right mentor absolutely makes a difference.

Every student’s experience can vary, but spreading negativity without acknowledging the hard work behind countless success stories is unfair. I’ll always be grateful for the support and confidence I received through this journey.

No mentor can write the exam for us — students still need dedication and hard work. But having someone who guides, motivates, and simplifies difficult concepts can change the entire journey.

I’m thankful for her mentorship and believe many silent successful students would agree.

The mentorship, study strategies, mock discussions, and motivation I received were extremely valuable for me. It’s disappointing to see negative comments that overlook the positive impact she has had on so many international dentists.

Respectful feedback is understandable, but personal attacks are unnecessary. Wishing everyone success in their own journey.

Score 540

I honestly don’t know how to move forward. I prepared for 6-8 months straight, used to get 93-94% in ADAT KNOCKOUT mocks. I feel disheartened and honestly I am shocked. I don’t know what i should do next.

Please advise

Attn :Moderator -Request to Maintain a Respectful & Positive Study Environment”

Attention Moderator,

I kindly request that comments spreading hatred and negativity, which go against Reddit community guidelines, be removed.

I joined this group to study, learn, and support others, but lately the discussions seem to be turning into hate campaigns against respected teachers. I would appreciate it if the necessary action could be taken at the earliest.

I also do not want constant notifications from arguments and fights in the comment section, as my main focus here is to study peacefully.

Thank you for your understanding.
