Although I already started scratch building the flaps around 4 years ago, they definitely needed some rework.

So, using images of PE metal sets as a reference, I rebuilt them with 0.2mm Styrene sheets and lots of stretched sprue. Am I going too far? Probably.

I decided not to separate the inner flap from the larger outer part to make painting and assembling easier later on, adding a panel line to show the actual separation.

This was quite an upgrade for an old ~€10 kit
