What were you taught in school that is now considered obsolete and or incorrect? I myself loved home economics and it’s probably the only thing I learned in school that I actually use today. It’s practical life skills like cooking, cleaning, budgeting, etc…

Mary and Madeleine Collinson in Twins of Evil (1971)

Twins of Evil works because Mary Collinson and Madeleine Collinson bring more to it than simple Hammer glamour — there’s a strange innocence and melancholy underneath all the gothic excess. The contrast between the sisters gives the film its tension, especially once the vampire storyline starts blurring morality and temptation together. A lot of fans remember the movie for the atmosphere, candlelit castles, and sheer 1970s Hammer style, but the Collinson twins are really what make it memorable decades later.

Everyone at school listened to this

My mom got me my first bass after I heard Tom Peterson play.

why did hitchhiking die? it was so popular in the 60’s & 70’s

the concept of doing something for a stranger for FREE is so foreign now. Why did we change so much?

I had to get a ride from a mechanic to work. and I couldn’t Lyft to download

for one minute I thought “If hitchhiking was still a thing I’d literally save $20 and be at work fine”

I used to sell these in the late 70’s when I was in elementary school. I was one of the best sellers because I’d walk 3-4 miles going door to door and businesses. ONE dollar was the cost for each bar. Today I see the same brand only much smaller and some sell them for 5 or 10 dollars smh
