A book for our (Americans’) times
22% of the way through this book and I feel like I’m reading a book that was published yesterday. Having lived through the War on Terror, resurgence of fascism in American politics, the ongoing death of liberalism, rising theocracy, and now the start of what looks like a third Middle East war in my lifetime, Monstrous Regiment speaks to so much of what goes through my head every day.
