On a recent appearance he made on Pod Save America, the California governor likened Israel to an apartheid state. Because, you know… it is an apartheid state. Well, he just did an interview with Politico where he immediately took it back.

When asked if Newsom regretted using the word apartheid when describing Israel, he said, “I do in this context… I said it and I referenced why I used it. A Tom Friedman article in that same sentence where Tom used it in the context of the direction that Bibi is going.” Can Newsom ever stand by what he says or is he that spineless.

As of April 3rd, 2026', Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has intervened to block or remove several Black and female officers from military promotion lists, totaling at least 6 in the Army and others across services. While not a public "white-only" policy, these actions target specific diverse candidates, indicating a shift towards removing officers deemed ideologically incompatible or linked to previous DEI initiatives.
