She was not playing with Tammy AT ALL

If they would’ve kept her around, Tammy would’ve lost all the weight within a year 😂 Tammy knows she is wrong for doing the lady like that then playing victim .. talking about she was in pain. Girl you just didn’t wanna walk !!! 😭

I Don't Like Amy

idk if this is unpopular or not but I really don’t like Amy and I feel like nobody ever talks about her behavior the same way they drag Tammy

like from the beginning their dynamic was always “jokey” but Amy lowkey stayed putting Tammy down. I remember in the early episodes when they were talking about why they wanted to lose weight and Amy literally pointed at Tammy and was like “I don’t wanna be like her” … like?? you could tell that hurt but Tammy didn’t even react like that

and yeah Amy jokes about everybody but it was mostly Tammy for a long time. even little comments, little digs, stuff about her health, her body, later even the trach. it adds up

fast forward and now Tammy actually got her life together… and suddenly Amy doesn’t have that same energy. now Tammy jokes back and Amy acts like everyone is picking on her

but this is literally how Tammy was treated for years??

and now Amy crying every five seconds… I’m sorry but some of those tears feel fake. like she cries and then suddenly everybody has to feel bad for her and the focus shifts off what she did

even at Tammy’s wedding (season 4) she kept making comments like “this isn’t about Tammy” during moments that were clearly about Tammy… it just gave jealous energy to me. like why are you competing at your sister’s wedding

and that whole “I went against my beliefs to go to the wedding” thing made no sense either. it’s a wedding… not a haunted house 😭 nobody is asking you to risk your spirit just to show up and support

I also feel like Amy has this underlying jealousy thing going on. Tammy had her attitude before, yeah, but she’s also been supportive through Amy’s pregnancies and everything. Amy on the other hand always seems like she has to make things about her in some way

and don’t even get me started on the accountability… or lack of it

it’s always something or someone else. her situation, her stress, her kids, whatever. I get postpartum and depression are real, but there are plenty of parents dealing with that who don’t act like that

and then the legal stuff… like nobody else in the family is having those kinds of issues. it’s always chaos around her

even when they were in England she was acting loud and embarrassing and everyone else at least seemed aware of where they were. she just doesn’t read the room

and I lowkey feel like asking that other girl to be maid of honor was out of spite too… like idk it just felt weird

Tammy might’ve been rude and difficult before but at least she was direct about it. Amy’s stuff feels more sneaky… like victim mindset, jealousy, and not taking accountability but hiding it behind jokes and crying

I don’t hate her as a person but I really don’t like how she carries herself. it just comes off messy and self destructive to me

am I the only one seeing this??

Amy PPD?

First time watcher here.

I’m watching the season where Tammy comes home after getting married and having surgery, and I can’t stop noticing Amy. It really looks like she might be dealing with postpartum depression and anxiety. She’s constantly overwhelmed, crying a lot, and talking about feeling like she’s failing as a mom. On top of that, she keeps saying she has no support, and it’s obvious Michael isn’t stepping up to help her. Those are all pretty clear signs of PPD and PPA to me. Does the show ever actually address this later in the season? It’s honestly hard to watch and I feel so bad for her.

It was already clear in S4 that Michael wanted out

It was so obvious if you watched carefully. You could already see it that season. Covid had him living alone and doing whatever he wanted and after that he just never readjusted. He got comfortable with that freedom and was not willing to go back to the responsibilities.

Amy literally said she had three kids because he was that checked out. He was already done way before the divorce filing. It was clear from the start.

Amanda pisses me off

Bout one or twice a year I go back and rewatch all seasons.

Literally can’t stand the siblings. Besides misty, she seems to be the not put together. I feel like they older siblings only started coming around and caring bout Amy and Tammy because of the Cameras. Every time Amanda does a talking head it just seems so performative. I’d say Chris & Misty aren’t as performative imo but Amanda she makes my skin crawl

One of Tammy's worst moments for me...

There are many moments with Tammy that make me dislike her soo much but the one that always sticks with me and makes me continue to dislike her even when she's happier/nicer for a few episodes after losing the weight is... when the family go up to the facility to meet Caleb... Amy is there with Gage, Glenn, Chris and I think Brittany... Tammy, who was soooo 'close' to Gage initially, totally and completely ignores him and fusses soo hard over Glenn. I think its the first time she meets Glenn but still it makes me so mad. She says Glenn Glenn Glennnn over and over whilst fussing him but she's looking at Gage at some.points... its like its so intentionally mean and shes trying to make Gage feel bad. Shes introducing everyone to Caleb and says and this is Glennn and Err Gage is errr somewhere. It may be that she was butt hurt that Gage wasnt running up to Aunt Tammy but I dont think so and even if that was the case she is an adult and should know better. When there's a new baby its always kindest to fuss the older sibling first so they know they've not been replaced and that theyre still loved and fussed despite there being a new cute baby. I just think she's mean and enjoyed trying to hurt Gage. Happily I think Gage probably couldn't of cared less that smelly Ain't Tammy ignored him. He just wanted to run around and play.

Will the Family learn basic manners? I am at Season 3

Almost at the end of Season 3 and the family dynamic is still really hard to watch. Aside from Misty, most of them seem completely unaware of how their behavior comes across on screen. It's pretty clear TLC leans into the drama, but I'm genuinely surprised Amy and Tammy don't seem to have more self-awareness when watching themselves back. Anyone else feel this way?

I know she’s pregnant and has cravings BUT GAHHHH DAMN RELAX A LITTLE. It’s so ridiculous how much she eats when she’s pregnant and how she needs to be losing weight. Pisses me tf off when she uses her pregnancy to eat like shit smh

Brittany hairdress causes traction alopecia

I’m so sorry for her, this hairstyle which she wear every day causes so much tension on her scalp and leads to traction alopecia :( I don’t know if it is a religious reason to hold hair tight, but it doesn’t look healthy.

Does Chris actually want a baby at 50?

This seems so crazy to me. He already has grown kids. I know he wants to be supportive, but does Brittany also want a kid when she's almost 40? Why now? They are still on their healthy journey. I think having a newborn would cancel everything they've worked so hard for.

Tammy is the WORST

I started this show from the beginning after my gf and I watched the newest season and my god, the amount of hate I have for Tammy is incomprehensible. We finished the family vacation episode in S3 and Tammy’s bitch ass, ugly ass attitude was it for me. I’m baffled by how ungrateful, rude and nasty she is. Granted, she has a lot of unresolved issues she needs to address but her family has done so much for her yet she can’t be decent to them for a minute.

Say what you want, but you will never make me like her.

Why do they think Amanda is mean?

I recently started 1000 lb sisters and on the 1st episode of season 5. Ever since Amanda got introduced she was referred to as mean or a**hole at times and I simply don’t see it. Like the episode I just watched where they were all joking about Tammy trach at the table and Amanda said Amy good eye wasn’t looking and she stormed off. Like was it a bit mean yes but Amy makes jokes all the time especially about Tammy before and after losing weight.
