Affordable courier costs

Hi ZA

i need to courier a few packages from Cape Town to Joburg (and possibly elsewhere in SA in future).

Currently just need to ship 4 packages of different sizes and weights, but a longer term solution would be great.

These aren't commercial goods. I make art and other handmade goods and usually include other gifts. Unfortunately most couriers don't accept art since they consider these high risk unless formally valuated and insured. And it's rather nonsensical to have personal handmade/art goods formally valuated since I am in no means a prominent artist who can afford these fees.

Current shipment is a bunch of random handmade items, medium-sized gifts as well as smaller fragile items. Nothing illegal or nefarious, so I don't mind disclosure or inspection, but the odd sizes, nature of items and weights don't allow for Paxi, Postnet or Fastnet store-to-door shipping.

I used a courier back in the day (D2D) that worked on weight alone and not on dimensions, but it seems they're no longer operational.

Since shipments are infrequent, it doesn't make sense to subscribe to a formal courier account. I am a sole proprietor and not a commercial entity or business.
