At around 3:20 P.M on 27 November 2025, during Operation Five Stones, carried out by the Israeli military in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces surrounded a ​​warehouse owned by the Zidan family in the Jabal Abu Dahir neighborhood of Jenin where two Islamic Jihad ​​operatives designated as “wanted” by the military were hiding.

The troops removed several Palestinian families who live next to the warehouse from their homes, and after that,

a military bulldozer neared the warehouse, bashed its ​​rolling door, partially dislodging it, while soldiers covered by a military jeep aimed their rifles at the entrance. The incident was filmed by journalists who were standing on a hill in the neighborhood of Marah Sa’ed, approximately 350-400 meters away, ​​as the crow flies.

After the bulldozer destroyed the door, the two operatives, Yusef ‘Assa’sah, 39, from the village of a-Shuhada, and al-Muntaser bi-Allah ‘Abdallah, 26, from Jenin R.C. , crawled out of the warehouse.

‘Assa’sah and ‘Abdallah were filmed surrendering to the soldiers, and, following the soldiers’ orders, raising their hands, then lifting their clothing, and taking off their jackets to show they were unarmed. The soldiers then ordered the two to lie down on the ground next to the warehouse. As seen in the footage of the incident, after they complied, one of the soldiers kicked them in the stomach and ordered them to return to the warehouse. The moment the two men returned and sat down at the entrance, the soldiers who were standing on either side of ​​the warehouse fired directly and continuously at them from an extremely close range. The two were killed, despite posing no danger.

After the shooting, the bulldozer tore down the warehouse door, dropping it on ‘Assa’sah and ‘Abdallah’s bodies, and the soldiers fired again into the warehouse. Finally, the soldiers dragged the bodies out, covered them with silver sheets and took them. The bodies are still being held by the military.
