Nervous about upcoming Child Life Assistant interview — advice?
Hi everyone,
I have an in-person interview in about two weeks for a Child Life Assistant position, and I’m honestly really nervous. I’ve been watching for openings for this role on and off for about 4 years, so this opportunity means a lot to me since openings are hard to come by.
My background is in education (4/5yr olds) I’m hoping to do this role part-time on weekends and summers because I’ve always been interested in child life and supporting kids in medical settings.
If anyone has advice on:
- what I should expect during the interview
- things I should research or learn beforehand
- common interview questions
- what skills they look for most
- or anything you wish you knew before interviewing
I would really appreciate it. I want to prepare as much as possible. Thank you so much!
