Only fools are celebrating, tonight.

Only fools are celebrating, tonight.

Submission Statement: I neither live in Kentucky, nor am I a Republican. I didn't really have a dog in this fight.

However, I was hopeful that Massie would win. The cultists that are celebrating do not know that this is neither a good thing for their party, nor for the country at large.

The donor class won, tonight. The Republic is on life support; if not already dead.

It really do be like that, though.

Rule 10 Submission Statement: It feels like the United States is still a colony. We just traded one master for another.

u/yellowjackethokie — 11 hours ago

Just so we're clear.

Rule 10 Submission Statement: Thomas Massie is the same person, supporting the same things, as when Donald Trump endorsed him years ago. Thomas Massie has not changed.

Thomas Massie's "sin" was defying Donald Trump by pushing to hold the Epstein Class accountable while Donald Trump has been actively protecting them.

The 2026 Republican Primary for Kentucky-4 is now the most expensive United States House of Representatives primary in United States history due to the amount of money that Donald Trump and his allies have injected into the race in an effort to unseat Thomas Massie.

Donald J Trump is still actively protecting the Epstein Class.

u/yellowjackethokie — 11 hours ago

Donald Trump’s feud with Thomas Massie is because Massie refused to back down on the Epstein Files.

Rule 10 Submission Statement: Donald Trump rage tweeted three separate times in the same day, about how awful and disloyal Thomas Massie is, despite having previously spoken very highly of him.

Thomas Massie’s primary election is this upcoming week and despite massive spending and political mobilization by Donald Trump for the challenger to Massie, that he is backing, the election is a tossup.

For Thomas Massie to win this election, despite Donald Trump doing everything possible to stack the cards against him, would essentially be the end of Donald Trump being allowed to play “king maker” in GOP politics and would in effect be the beginning of the end of Trumpism.

There are rumored to be about forty Republicans currently in the United States House of Representatives that agree with Thomas Massie on a host of issues, counter to Donald Trump, but are afraid to speak out and meet the same wrath. But if Massie defies Trump and wins his primary challenge, they will join him in open opposition.

Donald Trump has also called for long-time ally Lauren Boebert to be primaried as well because she sided with Thomas Massie.

Donald Trump used to praise Thomas Massie, then Massie refused to back down on pushing for the release of the Epstein Files; then he became the worst Republican in history, according to Trump.

Why isn't the stock market concerned about this?

While the initial payroll reports throughout 2025 appeared to show steady labor market growth, the cumulative revisions reveal that employment growth was materially weaker than originally reported.

Even after the stronger March 2026 revision, the broader trend still suggests a slowing labor market, which could signal weaker consumer demand, softer economic growth, and increased concern about the underlying strength of the economy.

April 2026 payroll report has not been included because it has not yet had any revisions made to it and the table of information is designed to reflect revisions to initial reports.

Rule 10 Submission Statement: Remember how the Trump Administration (1.0) dismantled most of the United States pandemic preparedness apparatus in 2018, ahead of Coronavirus Disease 2019?

u/yellowjackethokie — 12 days ago

On September 19th 2019, Donald Trump signed Executive Order 13887, titled "Modernizing Influenza Vaccines in the United States to Promote National Security and Public Health”.

Executive Order 13887 is now widely considered to have been a precursor and vital building block for Operation Warp Speed, which was initiated in response to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 that was first detected in December 2019.

But you can’t look at Executive Order 13887 without looking at Operation Crimson Contagion; which had a planning and development phase between January 2019 to July 2019 and the main exercise was executed between August 13th and August 16th, 2019.

Operation Crimson Contagion was a tabletop and functional interagency war game conducted in 2019 that simulated a novel influenza A (H7N9-like) pandemic originating in China and spreading to the United States, ultimately modeled as causing tens of millions of U.S. infections and hundreds of thousands of deaths under severe scenario assumptions.

In summary, the Trump Administration ran a war-game for a nearly identical situation as the Coronavirus Disease 2019, five months before it’s first detection; as well as signed an executive order to lay the foundation for rapid vaccine development, three months before the virus was first detected.

Following the 2024 election, Donald Trump held meetings with major pharmaceutical executives at his Mar-a-Lago resort in December 2024. Key attendees included Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, Eli Lilly CEO David Ricks, and PhRMA CEO Stephen Ubl.

Almost immediately after inauguration (literally on the second day of his second term) Donald Trump announced that the United States would be participating in a $500B joint venture in artificial intelligence with OpenAI, Softbank Group, Oracle, and MGX to build large scale AI infrastructure, including massive data centers.

The initiative, called Stargate, was announced in the Oval Office with Oracle executive Larry Ellison in attendance. Yes, the same Larry Ellison who had previously described a future where constant, AI-driven monitoring, ranging from police body cameras to home security systems, will become a new normal, making everyone, including law enforcement, more accountable.

His exact words were: “Citizens will be on their best behavior because we are constantly recording and reporting everything that’s going on”. Yeah, that Larry Ellison. In relation to Stargate, Larry Ellison has been a vocal proponent of using these AI systems to enable rapid design of personalized cancer mRNA vaccines.

Today, May 6th 2026, Donald Trump just posted onto his Truth Social page, a shared link from an Investor Relations website for Eli Lilly and Company, highlighting “Lilly commits additional $4.5 billion across Indiana manufacturing sites, opens first dedicated genetic medicine facility”

Are y'all keeping up with this?

There was so much blind faith and misplaced optimism, in this sub, for the second term of Donald Trump. Despite overwhelming evidence to show that he was not a good faith actor, that he was in fact controlled, and he would not keep his promises - people still believed him.

People didn't want to believe that he lied about the Epstein Files and that he would refuse to release them all as soon as he got into office. But he did.

People didn't want to believe that he would direct his administration to push record breaking spending proposals and cause the national debt to skyrocket. But he did.

People didn't want to believe that the insanity of his tariff agenda would cause an inflationary surge around the world and cause not only the United States economy, but the global economy, to weaken. But it did.

People didn't want to believe that he had exceeded the scope of his constitutional authority on that tariff agenda and that the Supreme Court of the United States would strike them down. But they did.

People didn't want to believe that he would go to war with Iran, on behalf of Israel, in a blatant reversal of the "no new wars" pitch that he campaigned on. But he did.

Right now, even after all of this, there are still people who do not want to believe that there will be another pandemic, before the 2028 presidential election. But they will be wrong about that, too.

If you look at any of these in a vacuum, you might miss the objective. But when you look at them collectively, two very clear patterns begin to emerge. The first is that Donald Trump is incapable of telling Israel no, because they have leverage on him.

The second is that Donald Trump is a globalist chaos actor whose mission is to collapse the global economy and pave the way for a global consolidation of governmental power, banks, and currencies ahead of Agenda 2030.

Venezuela, Iran, and now Cuba...what do all of those have in common? I'll give you a hint, it's about central banking. What do tariffs, wars, and pandemic all have in common? They all hurt global economics and supply chains.

Rule 10 Submission Statement: Even the propaganda sucks.

They couldn't find an accurate picture for the United States Air Force? Or does the USAF have aircraft carriers, now?

The United States Navy Fifth Fleet Headquarters might be inclined to disagree with the claim that missile defense is "100% operational" as well as the sixteen bases in the region that sustained serious damage from drone and missile strikes.

The last time they said Iran's air defenses were completely destroyed, just a few days later, an F-15 and A-10 were shot down, on the same day.

They keep parroting this line about their naval and air forces being destroyed, but it ignores reality. Iran made a conscious decision, years ago, to abandon their traditional surface fleet and Air Force. Their "mosquito fleet" is their navy and their drone fleet is their Air Force.

Notice what is missing, from this picture? There isn't even a claim that Iran's missile forces are destroyed. Iran has a dedicated missile corps that is it's own military branch.

The administration wants you to keep looking at this through the context of if this war were being fought in 1945. But it's not. It's being fought in 2026 and the landscape of warfare has changed.

If their air and naval forces are destroyed, why is the United States Navy parked comfortably outside of IRGC missile range in the Arabian Sea? Why doesn't the United States Navy just sail straight through the Strait of Hormuz and assert dominance, showing the whole world how weak Iran is?

Because the United States Navy is not stupid and knows their ships will be sunk, unless the IRGC missile corps is removed and that's hard to accomplish without ground troops.

If the United States walks away with Iran controlling the Strait of Hormuz, that's strategic loss. If the United States deploys ground troops to remove the missile batteries to clear the way for forcing the Strait of Hormuz open, the mission will evolve into forced regime change and the United States will be in the war for the next decade.

Donald Trump should have listened to Joe Kent. The only choices left for the United States are quagmire or humiliation. The only way to have won this war was to not fight it in the first place.

By distorting information and eroding trust in what is real.

This is such a blatantly shortsighted view of how things work that I fundamentally don't understand how Republicans still entertain a thing this idiot says. It’s like he’s playing the long game for the Democrats, at this point.

Things that WILL happen if the Republican Party is dumb enough to listen to Donald Trump and eliminate the filibuster, which protects them as much as it hinders them, for the short term goal of passing legislation in hopes that it turns into long term power:

Even if the SAVE Act gets through, in the absence of the filibuster: At 32% approval nationwide, with nearly nonexistent independent support, the Republican Party is still not going to hold onto the United States House of Representatives. Which means that Donald Trump is going to be a lame duck president throughout the second half of his presidency due to a partisan gridlock in the United States Congress.

Economic problems are not going to go away immediately at the end of the War in Iran, whenever that may be. We (the whole world) have crossed the boundary from short term damage and quick reversibility to medium term damage and slow reversibility; if it goes on much longer (six months to a year) it will take years to stabilize.

What this means is that economic conditions will be so poor by the 2028 election that the party in power (Republicans) will be blamed and the Democrats are going to reclaim the White House in 2028 and will probably pick up the United States Senate as well.

It will be a razor thin majority, but that won’t matter anymore without the filibuster. Thanks to Donald Trump and his cult, the Democrats will be able to push through any and all congressional bills they want with simple majorities.

Their first order of business, on day one, will be to nullify all of Donald Trump’s executive orders in a single executive order, which now has precedent.

Second, they will leverage their congressional majority to pass laws nullifying the previous laws that were passed following the elimination of the filibuster.

Third, they will move to make Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and other Unite States territories states with full congressional representation, which will in effect cement Democrat control over the United States Senate, forever.

Finally, the chefs kiss will be them leveraging their now safe congressional advantage to add no less than four new justices to the Supreme Court of the United States, flipping it from a 6-3 conservative leaning court to a 7-6 liberal leaning court.

The only thing that will likely stop them from getting enough of a grip on the system to amend the constitution to elect presidents by popular vote, rather than the electoral college, would be state level legislatures.

The brilliance of the founders was recognizing that a coup could happen at the federal level but getting three-quarters of the state legislatures on board was deliberately hard. Federal institutions of power would effectively be one party controlled, however.

These are not fringe predictions, they are stated objectives of the Democrats. So let me ask the MAGA people in the crowd a simple question: is undying loyalty to Donald Trump really worth it?

Rule 10 Submission Statement: "86" (or "eighty-six") is slang for getting rid of, throwing out, cancelling, or refusing service to someone or something. Originating in 1930s restaurant/soda jerk culture, it commonly means a menu item is sold out, or it is used to eject unruly patrons from bars.

But the Trump Administration is going to continue their assault on the 1st Amendment and Free Speech with farce indictments of their political opponents, like this, in an attempt to distract from the quagmire that the United States finds itself in due to Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu's war of choice in Iran; as well as the fact Trump's Department of Justice is facing severe accusations of non-compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Rule 10 Submission Statement: Allegedly, 43 of the 46 different presidents of the United States are related to each other, tracing their ancestry back to King John of England. They are generally linked through shared British Isles or European ancestry, often making them distant cousins.

Rule 10 Submission Statement: Donald Trump is crashing out because the Republican controlled US Senate has effectively shelved the SAVE Act, which was a blatant attempt at election voter suppression, due to insufficient support for it to pass and Senate Majority Leader John Thune defying Trump's demands to eliminate the filibuster to pass it.

The funny part is that Donald Trump, himself, voted by mail for the Florida House District 87 that was held in March 2026. Before someone points to the travel exception, he is the President of the United States - if he wanted to be there to vote in person, he would have been there to vote in person. He doesn't actually care about mail-in ballots. This has nothing to do with election security.

Rule 10 Submission Statement: The woman with her service weapon drawn, in the picture on the left, is from Butler, PA in 2024. The woman, circled in red, in the picture on the right, is from the White House Correspondents Dinner in 2026.

u/yellowjackethokie — 23 days ago

Two pieces of information that have been in the news, but might have been drowned out over this performance, at the White House Correspondents Dinner:

  1. The Supreme Court of Virginia is going to hear arguments regarding the Virginia Redistricting Amendment today (slight edge in prediction that SCOVA upholds the amendment passed by the people of Virginia).
  2. The US Senate has shelved the SAVE Act citing that there is insufficient support to pass it and Senate Majority Leader John Thune is defying Donald Trump on his demands to eliminate the filibuster to get it through.

Six in ten Americans oppose Donald Trump's war of choice in the Middle East. Two in three Americans believe that the US economy is now worse than before Donald Trump reentered the White House.

Now, with all of that said, the Republican Party is in deep trouble in the midterms. The odds are overwhelmingly in the Democrats favor to reclaim the majority in the US House and the US Senate may even be in play.

Donald Trump knows that even if the Republicans maintain control of the US Senate but lose control of the US House, it is effectively the end of his presidency. His political agenda is finished. But I don't believe that is what truly scares him. It is that with a Democrat majority in the US House comes Democrat subcommittees, with the power of subpoenas. He will spend the remainder of his term ducking investigation after investigation.

Even if you set aside the ballroom project, which was undeniably a factor - It would seem to me that Donald Trump, personally, has motive to put on a little performance for the American people in hopes of getting some sympathy votes. After all, it worked in Butler, PA.

The United States federal government seemingly would have us believe that:

Cole Allen was able to smuggle weapons into the White House Correspondents Dinner, because of "light security".

Yet, at the same time, the security was so good that they were able to identify the threat and subdue him before he was able to execute his plot, with almost no injuries, and no fatalities, including the alleged shooter.

Did I get that right?

"The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command."

Rule 10 Submission Statement: Donald Trump’s Department of Justice quietly deleted a study on politics of domestic terrorists, which found that the number of far-right attacks continues to outpace all other types of terrorism and domestic violent extremism. Because it went against the narrative that the administration is trying to push, to green light a power grab, despite constitutional limitations.
