I'm having a strange issue with Citrix. I use Citrix on my personal computer (Windows PC, Ryzen 370, 32GB RAM) and work in teleradiology. For reporting, I use a Philips SpeechMike III Premium Air, and Dragon Medical One is running on the virtual desktop. On my local Windows system, dictation and the microphone buttons work without any problems.
In Citrix, the microphone is also displayed under Devices, and USB redirection shows “Optimized” there. Unfortunately, the buttons don’t work this way (seems to be a known issue with SpeechMikes). When I try to switch to Generic, nothing happens, it stays on “Optimized.”
If I disconnect the SpeechMike base station from USB and reconnect it, it is (usually) recognized again, and then I can switch to “Generic” and the buttons work.
I asked the admin what I could do to avoid this annoying process of unplugging and replugging it, sometimes multiple times. The answer was to reinstall Citrix and Speechmike drivers. Unfortunately, that didn’t help.
Does anyone know what I can do?
