Took some liberties with the navigation lights from the Brickbling set. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Most of the wires are accessible to detach just below the large Arboretum wedge so separating the saucer is still possible. Impulse engines (as well as deflector and nacelle lighting) are from an Ali Express kit.
Thanks for all the inspiration shared and posted here. Tiny bridge is very cute and satisfying and amazing it wasn't included. The space in the saucer seemed built for it. The lack of a bottom phaser strip was also a huge peeve of mine. Clip-on deflector with trans blue pieces instead of light blue work well with the lighting.
My wife bought me the original brickbling set, but I couldn't stand the exposed nacelle leds so bought a cheap alternative on AliExpress, but the deflector didn't match colour so just changed that too. Kept the bussard lighting and it all frankensteined together with the BB remote and boards.
The AE lighting looks better with the deflector mod than the dark blue BrickBling one. Next up is finding a way to do some saucer lighting without the cables being too unsightly and separating being too much a pain, but happy with the progress so far!
