Hello, I'm hoping someone can help here and hopefully I won't have to call a plumber! Our Duro water softener of about 10 years has suddenly stopped sucking up the salt, and we're back to hard water.

I've attached a pic of the bin and the display. I read somewhere to bust up the salt with a broom and regenerate, so I did that about a week ago and no change. Now it's much more dense and still nothing has happened.

Are there any suggestions on anything I can try? I've never had any experience with this as it's been working the entire time.
