Got a new racquet (e zone) recently and decided to paint one of my old racquets I’d used for the past 10+ years (a Wilson Steam 100).

The process to this point has been removing the grommets, sanding the whole thing down, and applying automotive primer and flexible spray paint (glidden flex max). Used a piece of plastic I found to get some of the grid patterns when spray painting. Final steps are to apply a clear coat (spray max 2k) and add back the grommets, grip, and strings.

We’ll see how it plays! The weight feels normal to me currently. I mainly just hope the durability isn’t too bad with the clear coat. Worst case scenario, it’s art
