I have never wanted to finish the back half of a route so badly because I simply stopped caring. Of course all the fight scenes were badass and had my full attention, but then I was back to dissociating (Kuroyuki can relate).

There’s NO WAY I can go straight into Gekka after this. I’m going to replay Hanzo bc after a year, I don’t have a strong memory of him other than #training #murder and #caves. I need more guitar-shredding fights and sexy tsundere stoicism. And I am *extremely* biased towards his character design heheh

Wow… the hottest character design did not deserve a route that was such a boner killer. To rephrase, I didn’t deserve this route. Reddit warned me and I didn’t listen.

I also found this cool article going VERY IN DEPTH into the character designs of everyone in Nightshade — interesting thoughts on both the video game design choices + the historical Japanese iconography behind the game’s visuals! I’m a huge fan of Nightshade’s artwork so this was a wonderful find :)

I only finished Goemon and Hanzo over a year ago, so I’m picking things up with Chojiro’s route.

Things have been feeling a little too slice-of-life around here, so I’m back on my high-octane ninja bullshit *smashes beer against forehead* This game is just so fun!!!! And everyone’s hot AF heheh
