Anemia and Vyvanse
Due to a benefit with my employer, I was able to do a genetic test that explained how I metabolize certain medications. It was really interesting as I learned adderall may not be the best fit for me. When I explained that Vyvanse hasn't been as effective as anticipated, the pharmacist explained that vyvanse travels through the body differently than other amphetamines as it goes through the bloodstream and it's likely that because of my low iron that I'm having a harder time. She said I could increase and when I eventually reach the max, I should look into alternatives. Has anyone else heard anything similar?
Currently on 40mg capsules and I feel like it makes my thoughts all come to the surface for a little bit and I don't feel quite as sleepy, but the crash after a couple hours has been awful. I'm trying to make sure I eat enough protein beforehand but it's rough.
