The DNP RX1 HS I bought in 2022 started having issues, so I am sending it in for service. About a month ago and about an hour into the event, the print would be all red or yellow and then jam. The ink ribbon would melt onto the contact bar and rip when trying to remove. I would clear it, tape up the ribbon, and reset. After about 2 or 3 sessions, it would happen again. Changing out the ink ribbon and paper produces the same results. I took it to 2 more events and the same thing started happening again after an hour or two. This is actually my back-up printer when I get double bookings and taken care of pretty well.
My main RX1 HS that I purchased in 2018 has been rock solid. Even after being dropped a few times and being in a rear end collision in my van.
Has anyone experienced the same issue or had to have their printer sent in?
