Won't let me prepay Yacht Club gratuity price!
Two weeks ago when I got the notice gratuities were going up, I called to prepay my next two booked MSC Cruises. One of those is my first Yacht Club cruise, in an interior room. When they charged me gratuities for that cruise, it was the $16 per day, per guest, price (non Yacht Club rate). I questioned that knowing it should be $20 per day, but was told that's their only option in their system, so I let it go.
I just called again today because I don't want to be charged extra when I actually go on this cruise. I told the MSC guest service person that I was charged the $16 price and again I was told that is the only option they are seeing in their system for me to pay for this cruise. They even confirmed it shows on their end that I'm in the Yacht Club.
I mean, if it's a mistake on their end, it saves me a little bit of money, yay. But I don't want to end up going on this cruise thinking I'm good to go and they charge me the new price for gratuities ($23 per day) because I only paid the non-Yacht Club gratuities.
Suggestions? What to do/how to handle? Gratuities go up in two days.
EDITED TO ADD: I guess I'm confused. I thought this would be a fairly simple question to get some help with. MSC, as of now, is okay with charging me less, and I'm actually trying to pay more. I'm not sure why people have a problem with me trying to pay the current gratuity rate and not just being happy with spending the upcoming increase in gratuity rate. I guess I'm sorry for asking for help on how to resolve this?
