Hi everyone,

I recently bought a new Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports DCT 2026 and I’m looking to replace the stock seat.

For me, the original seat feels too narrow and not comfortable enough, especially in the main seating area where it becomes too slim. I want something that is:

  • as comfortable as possible for long road rides
  • wider than stock in the main seating area
  • made for comfortable seated road riding — I do not plan to stand on the bike or use it for serious off-road riding
  • easy to install, so that any normal motorcycle mechanic can fit it without problems
  • preferably black or another dark color
  • seat heating is not necessary

For reference, I am 187 cm tall and weigh 83 kg.
The bike is grey, and I am based in Valencia, Spain.

I would really like to hear from people who have actually replaced the seat on their Africa Twin / Africa Twin Adventure Sports and were genuinely happy with the result.

Which brands or models would you recommend?
Corbin, Russell Day-Long, Seat Concepts, Sargent, Touratech, or something else?

Most importantly, I’m looking for a seat that is noticeably wider and more comfortable than stock, not just “slightly better”.

Thanks a lot — real owner feedback would be very appreciated.

Hi everyone,

I’m considering switching to a Yamaha Tracer 9 GT / GT+ and would really appreciate feedback from taller riders.

I’m 187 cm / about 6’2” tall. I currently ride a Honda NC750X DCT with a comfort seat, but after about 1.5 hours my knees start to ache and the seat becomes uncomfortable. I mostly ride on asphalt roads, mountains and twisty roads/serpentines, not off-road.

My main question is:

How comfortable is the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT for a rider around 187 cm / 6’2” during longer rides, let’s say 3–4 hours?

I’m especially interested in:

knee angle and whether the footpegs feel too high or too far back;

seat comfort after a few hours;

overall ergonomics for tall riders;

whether the riding position feels cramped or relaxed;

whether the GT/GT+ seat in the high position helps enough;

any comparison with Honda NC750X, NT1100, Africa Twin or BMW GS would be very helpful.

A short test ride is usually only around one hour, so it’s hard to understand the real long-distance comfort. I’d love to hear from owners who have actually ridden the Tracer 9 GT / GT+ for several hours.

Would you recommend this bike for someone my height who wants maximum comfort for long asphalt rides and mountain roads, or should I look at something more spacious like Africa Twin, NT1100 or BMW 1300 GS?

Thanks in advance
