So at my nearest Half Price Books, an ex Melanie fan had brought in their Melanie records months ago and all except 2 have just been collecting dust. I wanted to make art using records after seeing some cute ones on Pinterest, but didn't want to ruin any good ones. I picked the K-12 record because it was already a decent color and I had a lot of fun damaging it over 2 days. It was sentenced to the Crosley suitcase, scribbled on with a guitar pick, then painted and varnished over. Goes very well in my bedroom since I have a very pink, coquettish theme going on. Just an idea for ex fans that also no longer wish to play their Melanie records ☺️
