I have been looking into mounjaro for over a year. I kept convincing myself that I am just lazy, and if I put in the work I would lose weight. I spent a year losing and regaining the same 2kg. Finally over the long weekend, I decided to bite the bullet.

I am starting at 89.1kg, 40 years old and 5ft6. I haven't been happy with my weight since 2019 (76kg) - classic covid weight gain story!

I am very needle phobic and obviously concerned about potential side effects - I already frequently get heartburn and nausea so I expect these to be exacerbated at first, but am hopeful I will be one of the lucky ones that don't get negative side effects.

I am off work next week, but am still planning to take my first shot today as I can work from home Thursday and Friday, and don't have plans until Saturday - hopefully I am making the right choice!

Have joined the Reddit community for my journey as so far only my partner knows I am starting!

Update: taking my first dose on Sunday as I have the week off work!
