Caught an accidental PB catfish and broke my rod in the process

Fishing a local large creek for panfish/bass using a micro beetle spin. This guy chomps down and puts of a hell of a fight. Right at the bank, my brand new Purelure telescopic rod breaks at the third eyelet from the tip. Still managed to get it on shore but damn, what a bummer. Only the second time I've had this setup out. Attached a few other catches, finally got the Creek Life Lure micro plastics in and got a few on the spider suspended from a bobber floating with the current.
