Hi. I'll be attending SOAS in the fall for a 1 year master's programme. I won't be staying in the university's accommodations since my husband will be staying with me for part of the year. We are looking for a studio or 1 bedroom flat in a safe and affordable neighborhood with a decent commute to the university.

We are just getting started with this search and haven't set a reasonable budget.

Any suggestions would be tremendously helpful. Thank you for your time and help!

Update: I'm very thankful to have already received so many responses. This information is truly helpful. Many have asked about a budget. This is an estimate, but I would say around £1,500 - £1,800. Is that reasonable?
