Kaleidoscopic Art and Symmetry of The Patrika Gate, Jaipur

Kaleidoscopic Art and Symmetry of The Patrika Gate, Jaipur

Hello everyone,

I took this photo 2 years ago but edited it last month. I liked the colours but the original photo (which i post in the comments) was very bad in terms of composition and angle. But i cropped it and adjusted the horizon and angle and i tried giving the Wes Anderson style vibe, i don't know if I achieved that or not. I still shared it. I shot it on a mid-range Android phone in RAW and edited it in Lightroom.

I’d really appreciate any critiques on the photo.

I also have a question I honestly don’t know whom to ask: is it possible to make money from photography starting with just a phone, without professional gear? I’m asking seriously, not ideally.

If the answer is no, then I may have to accept that. But if there is a realistic path, I need to understand it—because right now I can’t convince my parents that I’m good enough to invest in a camera for me. In my area, and in my family, people mostly believe only in government jobs. As far as they’re concerned, the only photographers who make money are wedding photographers.

If you have a moment, you can check my photos and give me honest advice—not dreamy encouragement, but a real assessment. Is there something worth pursuing here? Is there a practical path forward?

Thank you very much for your time.

Life lies somewhere between these windows. (First post here)

hello everyone, I'm a mobile Photographer based in india and i clicked this photo using my android mobile and in manual mode. the quality isn't good enough because it was taken from a distance and the other train was moving. I tried giving a minimal vibe using Lightroom, removing something from a street photography is basically called cheating but i did just to keep the quality and my social media profile balanced. I'm not a street photographer but i want to be one. I know many people say that smartphone photos are not considered in real photography because of low efforts, and honestly i agree with them but i don't have any equipment other than smartphone right now so please don't hesitate to give Critiques.

(sorry for bad english) thank you!
