Has anyone figured out a garage setup that actually stays organized?
I keep trying to clean up my garage but every time i do, it’s a mess again a few weeks later. I’ll sort everything, even feel pretty good about it for a while but then random boxes and tools pile back up. Honestly, storage is the main headache. I’ve got a mix of weird stuff i barely use, and there’s no system, things just end up wherever they fit.
…i’ve thought about buying proper shelves, but I have no idea what actually works. The cheap shelves i tried were a joke: one bent in the middle, the second i put anything heavy on it, and another wobbled right out of the box. Buying more flimsy units feels like throwing money away so now i’m just stuck wondering what to do.
I don’t care about fancy features, i just want sturdy shelves that can hold up real weight and get stuff off the floor. But i also don’t want to drop a ton of cash if something simple will do the job.
I’ve looked at those clean garage setups on sites like alibaba and amazon, but honestly, it’s impossible to know which ones are solid and which are just good photography….
So, if you’ve actually managed to get your garage organized in a way that stays neat, what works? Are heavy-duty shelves really worth it, or is there a better move?
Is going into a printing business solo a good plan?
I want to start a printing business. However, i am planning to do this as a side hustle, and I don’t know how demanding is going to be. i’ve done the math involved, and it does look like a profitable one. Right now, all I have is money that is just enough to cater for the printing machine materials & parts.
…That’s to say that I can’t afford to pay anyone so i am going to run this alone. At least for the first few months. That leaves me with running ads, printing, and handling the whole logistics, which includes delivering myself. It’s kind of looking like a lot, and i don’t know if i can handle all that with my already existing schedule.
Also, as someone who is also trying not to incur extra cost, i did look up the prices of some of these machine parts on platforms like amazon and alibaba just to compare them with the prices in local stores. They are kind of similar, though, but the difference is in the range of options available on online sites. Before i even go into purchasing or not purchasing the equipment, i need to be sure this is something that I can do. Has anyone here run a printing business? How taxing is it?
