I want a dog so bad but I am not allowed to due to my religion

I am muslim and I love pets. I have a Norwegian forest cat (not mine, belongs to my landlord but he’s always in my room idk why :)) and I love him so much. Well I have always loved dogs as well, but growing up in a muslim household, we weren’t allowed to keep it. You are only allowed for personal protection or for your property/animals etc. Although, there’s nothing wrong in petting and loving them as long as you wash your hands before prayer or food etc.

I will not say, I’m quite religious but I try to follow (not drinking, eating pork, basic rules) and yeah there are things that I don’t follow and am not proud of it. But oh man, dogs. Whenever I look out of my window watching someone playing with their dog (I live in front of a lake and people take their dogs there even though it’s not allowed lol) as well as people walking their dogs I just get this immense sadness that I want one of those lil goof ball as well.

What happened yesterday made it worse and that’s why I’m writing it here. I went to a clients place to meet him and while I was entering, his little goldendoodle ran to me and put his little two paws on my leg and was wagging his tail. Oh God, the way I felt, yall dog owners can imagine. I pet him so much and that moment I was just wishing I had some treats with me. I even gave him a goodbye kissy, his dad wasn’t watching and I don’t know if it was okay (both religiously and professionally lol).

Yeah that was it. Please don’t be islamophobic.

Swedish Kebab pasta with tomato sauce.

So basically, this is my own pasta experiment of the food culture here in Sweden (especially kebab). It turned out extremely good.
