I marked normative using the following logic (paraphrased the sentence) :

ghost stories are hardly the norm yet they are the standard. how is debased fitting in?

This question is from Big Book page 520. For Q19 based on the passage the ans should be B because there is no mention of the type of web they spin but the ans in big book is E. Can anyone explain if its a typo or am I missing out on smth?
