Tired of staring at my own reflection instead of the movie. What premium TVs actually have the best anti-glare tech in 2026?

I'm done. Last night, I tried rewatching the black-and-white interrogation scenes in <Oppenheimer> but all I could see was the reflection of my floor lamp and my own frustrated face on the screen. In high-contrast B&W shots, any glare feels like a ghost haunting the frame. My current glossy TV is basically a high-end mirror during the day.

I’m looking for a serious upgrade that can handle intense glare. What premium TVs have the best technology for reducing screen glare right now?

After days of obsessive research and store visits, it seems like the 2026 battle is between two completely different philosophies:

Samsung S95F (OLED with Glare-Free Matte Finish): Samsung went all-in on that "Reflection-Free" matte coating. I saw it in the showroom, and it’s mind-blowing how it just swallows the light. But I’ve heard some purists on here complain that it might slightly diffuse the blacks or reduce that inky OLED depth. Is the trade-off worth it for a sunny room?

LG G6 (OLED with New Vanta-Black SAR Coating): LG is sticking with a glossier look but added a new Super Anti-Reflective layer. It’s supposed to cancel out 99% of reflections while keeping the contrast razor-sharp. It looks more "premium," but can it really compete with a true matte finish when the afternoon sun hits?

Experts, I need your input before I drop the cash:

Direct vs. Hazy Reflections: How does the G6’s glossy SAR coating handle a window directly opposite the TV during a dark movie scene? Is the remaining reflection distracting, or does the infinite contrast make up for it?

For those who own one, are you still happy with your TV?

Brightest 2026 TV? QN95F vs. LG G6

As written in the title, which models deliver the brightest screens for premium home cinema setups right now?

Recently, I read the article from Business Insider (https://www.businessinsider.com/guides/tech/lg-2026-c6-g6-oled-4k-tvs-price-release-impressions) published by March 7, and it’ has highlighted on LG’ new lineup.

One fact that surprised me is that the G6 is now ready to position as TV for the bright room. Not only delivers about a 20% bump in brightness over the G5. It also adds an upgraded polarizer filter to reduce reflections and glare without sacrificing a glossy screen.G6

It still isn't quite as glare-resistant as matte OLEDs like the Samsung S95F. However, it points out that matte panels can make black levels look hazy, while the G6 manages to keep those deep OLED blacks even in a bright room. The article framed this as a big win for the G6.

Honestly, after reading that article, my heart is pretty much set on the G6. But I wanted to get your take. Do you think the LG G6 is the right move for a better overall experience even in a bright room?

Need advice for my first Seoul trip

Hi everyone! My friend and I are planning a trip to Seoul soon. We’re huge fans of aesthetic spaces, curated flagship stores, and trendy cafes.

We already have Seongsu-dong (the Brooklyn of Seoul) and Hannam-dong on our list, but we’d love to find some more local favorites that aren't just tourist traps. We’re looking for:

  • Cafes with unique interior design or great architecture.
  • Hidden gem bars or jazz spots (we love a good vibe).
  • Any cool pop-up stores or complex cultural spaces.

If you have any must-visit spots for someone who loves the trendy side of Seoul, please let us know!
