My manager is threatening to fire me because I left work when my fiancée went to the hospital.
Anyway, yesterday afternoon my manager took me aside and started yelling at me about how I could just "disappear" suddenly from the office, and that we are behind on our targets.
So I told him straight to his face that my fiancée's health is much more important than his company's profits.
He stared at me for a second and then told me that the next time this happens, I shouldn't be surprised if my keycard doesn't work anymore.
So yeah, I'm currently updating my CV. And of course, I won't be giving him any notice when I leave.
