The Curse & The Stuff
I'm currently working of the Evil Dead trilogy, that's why it's been a while. I just want to discuss this idea for an edit that I thought of, The Curse (1987) at the time was a close adaptation of H. P. Lovecraft's The Colour Out of Space, Lovecraft scholar Charles P. Mitchell referred to the film as faithful to the author's original work, but Mitchell claimed that "The last twenty minutes of the film are so disjointed that they virtually ruin the entire film." And I don't need to mention Wil Wheaton's experience on the movie. It was the first adaptation of The Colour Out of Space, and I enjoyed it. Spoiler alert, at the end of the movie>!white slime oozes out of the ground,!< after seeing that it made me think of Larry Cohen's The Stuff (1985) about a killer white substance that's advertised as a tasty and addictive dessert. The only problem with this idea is The Curse took place in Tellico Plains, Tennessee, while the movie opens in Georgia, and if people have seen the Pre-Theatrical release of The Stuff,>!it says that The Stuff is only available in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.!< So I've got to ask if everybody is okay with a fan edit of The Curse and The Stuff edited together.
