Apple Card customer service fail
An unfortunate update on my previous post trying to get Goldman customer support to honor a signup promotion: https://www.reddit.com/r/CreditCards/comments/1sraq8h/apple_card_promo_shenanigans/
I got a form email "resolution" to my case restating the offer terms (5% on grocery spend up to $500 within six months) but that my account "did not qualify." The email did not explain why Goldman came to that conclusion despite reps on two precious calls affirming that my account should be getting the promo rate. They offered a one-time courtesy payout on purchases already made but would not honor the promotion going forward.
I called back a third time and the "supervisor" said my only recourse would be for him to again submit this case to the "back office" but couldn't explain what would be different about a second review.
At that point I'd already wasted more than two hours on the phone so canceled the card on the spot. The whole support experience was a disaster and I can't imagine dealing with this company over any real financial concern.
