Got PDI done for our Kylaq Classic Plus (Candy White) today 🤍 | Need advice on SMP & Extended Warranty
Hey everyone,
Got the PDI done today for our new Skoda Kylaq in Candy White. We don’t have any proper 3rd party PDI service available in our city, so my brother checked the car himself thoroughly.
Manufacturing is Feb 2026 and odometer was just 6 km, so that felt reassuring. No visible scratches/dents/panel gap issues noticed during inspection. Will make another post once delivery is done 😄
Here’s the car:
Quotation breakdown:
Ex-showroom: ₹8.2L
Insurance: ₹34.5k
Registration: ₹87k
Accessories: ₹8.5k
Total on-road: ~₹9.5L (Jaipur/Rajasthan)
We did NOT take:
SMP (service package)
Extended warranty
Now I’m in a bit of dilemma after reading owner discussions online 😅
Some people say SMP + EW are worth it for peace of mind with Škoda ownership, while others say you can decide later depending on usage.
Our usage won’t be daily city driving. We already have another car for rough/local work. This one will mostly be for:
family trips,
highways,
outings,
and long drives.
So wanted honest suggestions from existing owners:
Is SMP really worth taking later?
Should extended warranty be taken immediately or can it wait?
Also, I believe only the 1k km welcome/checkup service is free, right?
Would appreciate genuine ownership advice from Kylaq/Kushaq owners 🙌
