Gigabyte G34WQC monitor moving joystick in any direction creates black screen

My apartment lost power a few days ago, and since then my Gigabyte G34WQC monitor automatically goes into burn in mode when my PC turns off. I assume this was some type of factory reset that happened, and I would like to change this setting back to what it was previously when that did not happen.

I've found a few threads about fixing the burn in mode (like this one) but my problem is anytime I move the joystick on the back of the monitor in any direction, the screen goes black for a few seconds, and then the picture comes back on. Pushing the joystick in shows the standard Gigabyte menu, but I cannot navigate it because when I move the joystick in any direction, the screen goes black and when the picture returns, the menu is gone.

I've tried:

  1. A few attempts at a hard reset such as removing from power, holding the joystick up for a very long time while and after plugging the monitor back in, but no luck

  2. Using different HDMI and DP cables and ports on both the monitor itself and computer(s)

  3. Plugging the monitor into a different computer

Unfortunately none of these has solved this black screen issue. Has anyone experienced this or have any potential troubleshooting advice? Thank you in advance for your help!
