Swiss Francs
Just bought this Swiss “junk” silver lot on eBay for 253.00. Slightly under 5 dollars above melt. I’ve been on a foreign (I’m American, so foreign to me) coin itch recently, and always thought Swiss coins and Japanese coins were absolutely beautiful. I felt priced out with Swiss silver here in the US due to shipping and also individual coins being way more than melt, but I felt like this was a good deal considering the current prices. I haven’t seen a deal this close to spot on foreign silver with free shipping ever, so I jumped on it. Only thing that threw me off is one of the 1 Franc coins look like they are marked 1980 for a mint year, but it also could be a 1960. I couldn’t get a good view from the picture. I’d love to hear about you guys too, feel free to give me tips and cool foreign coins to collect!
I really wanna get into Japanese silver when I have more spending cash. I’d love to get 1 yen coins/trade dollars and Sen coins specifically. Any tips on those too are welcomed!
