Hi all, I've been a technical student at CERN for a bit over 3 months now and it's been a great time. I am loving working there and am happy living in Geneva. However with all of this I know that as a technical student I am effectively on borrowed time, how realistic is it to stay on after student contract ends either by jumping to a PhD and hopefully being able to get a doctoral student contract or jumping to a fellow contract. I get the impression that the chances are pretty dim.

I have a question regarding police reports. I lost my wallet heading to the airport from Barcelona (I believe it was pickpocket but not sure) but since I had a flight in 2 hours there was no time to file a police report in person. I know that the wallet is gone and filing a report won't change that but unfortunately my residence permit was in my wallet and the problem is where I live the authorities ask for the foreign police report to replace the residence permit.

I saw that you can file a police report online but that it can only be validated in person within 72 hours of filing, does anyone know if there is an alternative way to validate a police report?
