Sentence splicing
Unsure if this style of writing has a different name.
Regardless, someone recently pointed out that the way I write certain passages is grammatically wrong, yet no professor of mine ever marked them wrong.
Example:
His agony was unfathomable; seeing him break down, viewing him deteriorate, spectating his demise, observing his last breath made one yearn for their own demise.
Death awaits us all; hoping each day, praying with tears rolling, convincing oneself to believe, telling conflicting reports of reality to oneself just to be failed once more.
