georeferencing
Hi all,
I'm new to qgis and im learning by doing with help from AI/Copilot and youtube.
im working on a project were i need to import a pdf to my project so i can work with the shapes in the pdf.
First i added a raster layer and imported the pdf. Then i could georeference it to the right location. But now i learned that this raster layer is basicly an image and i lose all the vector information from the pdf. So, now i converted te pdf to dxf with the help of inkscape and created a new vector layer. Succes!, the pdf is visable and i can select the shapes. BUT now i want to georeference it again and for what i have learned and read is that a vector layer cant be georeferenced.
This is where im stuck. I cant seem to find a workable solution to georeference my project.
With the help of copilot i tried CTRL+P onder 'project' (im using the dutch version and i dont know how its called in english. probably something like new print layout). Here i added a map and the dxf but its compressed or something. i cant get the scaling right. i made sure the CRS is correct but the pdf/dxf seems to lose its quality.
Can anybody help me out and point me in the right direction?
