Adam Randall is going too late in your dynasty league

Currently, ADP at 244 for startups or a 4th round to UDFA in rookie drafts, while he should be at minimum a mid 3rd round pick.

Why?

Opportunity set.

He profiles as a receiving back, with the only real competition there being Justice Hill. While he’s had good seasons, this is the definition of a jag.

That and because the GM specifically scouted and drafted him, he is going to get more chances than your typical 5th round pick. Think about it? Is the GM going to be satisfied if he’s not getting snaps in the PS with actual offensive linemen? Guys that will really make the team.

Expect him to get the bulk of the 1st team offensive reps, assuming Lamar and Co don’t suit up.

This gives him a true shot at the number two / passing down back.

Lastly, if Henry finally slows down, the Ravens have a massive void there. We just saw the new OC, Doyle, building an offense making 7th round Moningai a dude. Even if it’s only to give Henry relief, he’s going to get legitimate shots in one of the NFLs most dynamic rushing attack.

That deserves to be drafted in the 3rd with all the other high end handcuffs.

Edit: owner. Not GM. This was an editing error. ChatGPT has nothing on me.

Protection and Coordination Offer

Looking for opinions.

Current job has me in an EE role for a generation company. Been there for four years. First true engineering job if I’m being honest. Did studies for about 8 months before and 5 years as a technician.

At this point, I’m serving in a senior’s functions. All my responsibilities are with higher ups, pivotal project focused, and very little in the daily engineering contributions I started in.

I’m paid well for the job title. 125k, remote with low travel to sites, and bonuses. The company is a bit of a mess though. Thrown a lifeline by AI as we’re a modular power co.

Just got an offer for a mid level protection engineer. International consulting firm. Job is definitely what I want to do. Working in relays and protection is my favorite part of current gig. This would let me do it full time.

That said, pay is 110k, which is a solid 35k below my current role when adding in the vesting schedules. No bonuses with the new gig. Fully remote with rare travel.

If I want to get into consulting privately at some point, is that pay cut worthwhile? Maybe I need to be negotiating more based on current job and offer?

Current rate is 6.625. Credit is in the mid to high 700’s. This lowers my payment by $250, ~8%, with $4,500 in costs added into the loan.

That sounds high to me, but not abnormally so?

Had other LE’s pulled late last week / early this week. Not sure if I should be shopping around more.

Hey all, had attic insulation removed knowing the century home needed air sealing and K&T removal, but ran into two sections that look like this.

Is this splice in a different era? Something like an add on from the 1950’s? Appears to be cloth wiring and does not have any tubes.

Wild to find terminations like this and reaffirms my choice to rip it all out. Just curious about the history.
