Hi everyone,

I am a new driver and I drive confidently in Germany but in the city and outside the city. We are planning a summer vacation in July for Palermo and Catania and I can not be sure if I can drive there. I generally have some parking issues but I am okay in Germany because rule is rule here. Do you recommend me to drive car in those cities or do I get really stressed with the chaos?

I’m currently trying to decide whether a company pension (bAV) in Germany is actually worth it long term or not.

The setup is roughly:

• 80€ gross salary conversion
• employer adds 20€
• around 42€ net reduction monthly
• retirement age 67

Projected values are approximately:

• guaranteed pension: ~92€/month
• projected pension at 5% return: ~268€/month
• projected capital payout: ~93k€

I’m really unsure how to evaluate this properly.

Pros:

• employer contribution
• tax/social contribution advantages
• automatic long-term investing

Cons:

• money locked away for decades
• future taxation + health insurance contributions
• inflation risk
• unclear real return after 30+ years
• maybe ETF investing would perform better

I already started investing separately into ETFs, so this would only be an additional retirement component.

For people living in Germany:
Would you personally take this kind of bAV, keep it at a minimum level, or skip it entirely and invest privately instead?

Hi, we will be in Seoul for 3 nights for the first time and we are from Europe. What do you think about staying in Dangsan area (Hotel Loft)? It seems a bit far away but is it okay with metro or not?
