2009 Forester XT won’t start/ sounds horrible
I’m running into a weird issue with my car. I was driving home from work, no issues this morning, and it started having a semi-rough idle. The A/C wasn’t as cold as usual, but when I started moving it went back to normal. Then I heard a weird squeaking sound from the engine and it started losing power. Acceleration went super sluggish and I turned to go into a parking lot and it died on me. After getting it situated in the parking lot I couldn’t get it to start. I checked fluids, all were normal. I changed my oil last week and my car has had super regular maintenance. I had my brother come jump it to see if it was my battery since it’s getting older, but that wasn’t it. I got it to start for a moment and had him take this video. I don’t know what’s going on. We were able to limp it to a safer spot to leave it before I tow it home this evening. When limping it, it sounded mostly the same with more of the high pitched squealing. It didn’t throw any check engine or oil lights which has me super confused. Any suggestions or ideas?
Edit: I forgot to add my mileage. It’s at 170,068 miles. It’s always ran full synthetic oil, proper weight. I always run it on premium, and don’t really get on it too hard unless I’m on the freeway, which isn’t often.
