Life finds a way

Me: hippie millennial desperately trying to plant native for the pollinators. My boomer neighbor gets a mayapple patch growing straight out of his yew bushes and Japanese barberry.

He’s great but all the invasives in our yard are an uphill battle. I tried to plant may apples in my last house and they died immediately.
