I have opportunities to do a couple of book signings, one at a brew pub and another at a retail shop. But should I? Even if I sell a bunch of books, at a gross profit of $5 a book it doesn't seem worth my time. With Amazon, the main thing is to show online purchases and get reviews, and over-the-counter sales don't generate those.

OTOH, book signings are marketing and it helps gets the word out about my book. It's something I would promote on local social media.

What are thoughts of fellow authors? Have any of you done book signings?
