‘06 Concert at the Mall?
This is a very random question and I’m only asking because it came up in conversation recently (hi Lisa!) and it’s one of those things nobody can remember… I was living in Lynchburg back in 2005-2007 (college years) and a friend, who I shared sort of similar music tastes with, told me (Mystery Band) was playing a show inside Valley View mall and asked if I wanted to go. We drove over that evening, saw them perform, then drove home. All I remember is the lead singer was a woman, there were 4 or 5 of them total, and they set up the stage at the bottom of the escalators on the Ulta/VS/Old Navy end of the mall. They went on to be semi-successful; this must have been a record label push for publicity, but they were not from this area at all. I was into the emo/post-hardcore scene at the time, and this was in the Paramore/Flyleaf/Lights realm of music. (Was it Flyleaf??) We took photos I can’t find and my friend can’t remember either. Does anyone else here remember this and who the band might have been?
